Paul Ryan, the Gentleman. Joe Biden...?

Give me a gentleman over a jerk any day....

  1. Me thinks that Ryan did a good job framing the issues and put Biden on the defensive. His attempt to laugh things off at first didn't play well.

The differences (Team Obama didn't fulfill any major promises even when they were in control of both house and senate vs. It's other people's fault; The people who matter don't respect Team Obama's mixed-signaled foreign policy vs. People, people calm down - there is no bomb; Team Obama blames others for the problems while we will take ownership of the problems) is there for those who want to see it.

Others, who want to hold onto Romney's 47% statement to their grave are still clinging to the hopeful memory of hope and change and won't see any other perspective.

Like a basketball game, both teams scored points.

Ryan's clear, orderly concluding statement vs. Biden's closing sentimental plea was indicative of the different approaches the two campaigns are making.

  2. I agree. And I'm glad Ryan didn't react to Biden's theatrics. Nothing gets people hot under the collar like being laughed at while you're trying to make a point. Biden seemed to be intent on goading him, but he didn't take the bait. So in addition to being smart (not to mention a little wonkish), Ryan's a class act.
